What a difference a year makes…

I started this blog a year ago on January 28, 2012. I had never read a blog “knowingly”… I had been following one, but didn’t realize it was a blog! LOL Two friends suggested I start one to chronicle my up-coming 3 1/2 month journey to Egypt in February 2012. So I did. I didn’t think this blog would go beyond that period, but I found a voice in blogging.

My first post starts off explaining that 2011 was brutal. Like Rocky, I mostly felt beaten, even though I won the final fight. Just like Rocky, I was bloody, bruised and crushed by December 2011, but happy as can be because in the end I came out on top!

2012 was a different story… Though I had many battles I had to fight, I didn’t feel I was taking a beating this time. I felt stronger, weathered and wiser. I was present during the tough times, which allowed me to heal in a healthy manner. And much quicker. Hm… Just like a seasoned fighter.

That first post publicly declared my Intention for 2012 ~ to enjoy what Life has to offer. And I truly did enjoy all that Life offered me in 2012… Even the tough times. Now, don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t prancing about when the tough times came, but I started having a sense of peace during tough times rather than a hopelessness. A sense that “everything is as it should be.”

I remember at the time feeling the need to get rid of the junk in my Life. I had too much stuff. Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t a hoarder. I just felt I had all these extra things that were really useless. Things that took time to clean or to fix. Things that took money to keep up. Things that took up space and nothing else. Things I haven’t used in ages. All in all ~ JUNK! Since then, I have down-sized my Life… Sometimes my Life was down-sized for me. I got divorced; moved; lost loved ones and got rid of a lot of junk that became treasures for others.

What I have super-sized in my Life is Joy, Peace and Love! By November 2012 I’d had a total paradigm shift. So much so that I realized I was no longer a World Traveler who was Spiritual, but a Traveler of the Spiritual World. So, I wrote a new About Me page.

I have also made many friends on and through the blogosphere. I’m so thankful for all of you who read this blog! It is my greatest joy to connect with others and I get to do that when you read. Thank you for the wonderful comments and support through it all…

Here’s to another year of blogging! xoxoxo
