MUSINGS

Inspiration doesn’t always astound.
At least that’s what I’ve found.

Divine Influence, if sought after,
Can be found in sadness or laughter.

In the affection a Mother may show
Or when the Tree lets the Apple go.

In a long lost Childhood Friend
Or when a Marriage has to end.

In a Child’s twinkling eye
Or in the tears that it cries.

In a blissful hiking day
Or when a Lover goes away.

A Muse may come and a Muse may go
But a Muse is a Muse whether friend or foe.

I wish we could all have a personal muse! ;) You could actually be a Poetic Muse for Hire! :)

I love this poem. Inspiration comes in all shapes and forms if we are open to it. Thank you for reminding us to open our hearts, minds, eyes, and ears to inspiration.

I like this line, because it is so totally true inspiration comes in many forms….The whole poem is great. I enjoyed the couplet format… :)

True and very beautifully said. Right now I am feeling kind of deserted by her :-)

  5. And she obviously comes to visit you Zully :-)

This poem is a reminder from a Spiritual World Traveler that we can find inspiration in whatever Life has to offer us. I concur!

  7. Lovely poem, Zully! “. . .a Muse is a Muse whether friend or foe”! Certainly words to live, love, & create by. From one poet to another, THANK YOU.
