I was honored and secretly excited when Martyn Thompson of Cabo de Gata Photography approached me and requested to be a Guest Blog Poster! I have truly been enjoying his photography! And enjoyed this beautifully raw poem just as much. I hope you enjoy it too…

Hush

The urge to scream out is buried
Suffocated by a survival instinct
…be quiet, hush

But there is fire below
And it burns strong
And the fire-guard grows weaker
As the daily grinds me
But for now
…be quiet, hush

Thank you for sharing… You have given a name to my style of poem “Raw Poetry”, possibly there is already a style as this in existence.
